America 250: Celebrating our journey to 250 years!

Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with the UTRGV University Library. The Library has created a digital poster exhibit commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States, featuring curated resources from government publications, library collections, and Special Collections & Archives. The exhibit connects national history to the Rio Grande Valley by highlighting significant military and political events, notable local historical figures, and recommended readings.

To complement the exhibit, the Library has developed a LibGuide. In addition, the America 250: Celebrating Our Journey to 250 Years! poster is on display at the UTRGV University Library on both the Brownsville and Edinburg campuses. Visitors can view the exhibit on the 3rd floor at each location. The exhibit will be available from May 2026 through September 2026 and is free to attend.
