Ink Your Own Declaration

July 4 @ 8:00 am5:00 pm
$6

On this date, we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, which was written using ink made from oak galls. What’s a gall? Stop by and find out!

Visit with a Ranger at the Visitor Center to learn about oak galls and iron gall ink. This is the same type of ink the Founding Fathers used to write and sign the Declaration, but this time made with oak galls found at Government Canyon. You can use a quill to write your very own Declaration!

Come and go any time during the event.
