What’s cooking in the Kreische kitchen? In celebration of the upcoming America 250, join us for tasty demonstrations celebrating America’s unique and multicultural food history from 19th-century Fayette County. This month’s program will focus on a German-Texas inspired menu, including sausage inthe smokehouse, hearty German stew, and a home-baked treat made on our wood-burning stove. Chat with our living history interpreters, tour the house, and take in all the delicious smells.
